GHA is pleased to announce the addition of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program at Carolina Farms for the 2011 growing season. Essentially, a CSA is an opportunity for you to purchase a “subscription” to a farm’s harvest. A limited number of shares are available for $320 each. For 13 weeks, your investment could provide you with a dozen eggs and a variety of pesticide-free veggies. Pickup times are scheduled every Friday from June 11 through September 10 from 2-5 PM at the GHA Administrative Office, 213 N. Second St. in Albemarle.
Through your investment in this project, you share the risks of farming which may include, but are not limited to, poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests.
